What You’ll Create
Week 1 – The Sketching Framework
How to make sketching an easy, joyful, and wonderful part of your everyday life. We’ll get rid of obstacles — in your mind, body, and supplies — so you feel free and confident to sketch anytime, anywhere.
Week 2 – The Emotion of Color
Learn how just a little watercolor can bring your sketches to life. We’ll explore how color adds feeling, depth, and energy without overwhelming your page.
Week 3 – Composition and Emotion
Discover how arrangement creates meaning. Learn simple ways to place your sketches and writing so they tell the story you want to capture.
Week 4 – Mixed Media Magic
Add layers, texture, and surprise. Play with pens, pencils, watercolor, and collage to expand your visual voice and loosen up your style.
Week 5 – The Building Blocks
Shape, color, value, line, and edge — the five fundamentals that make sketches feel solid, expressive, and full of character.
Week 6 – Compositional Structures
Learn how to bring harmony and focus to your sketchbook pages, creating flow and balance while still keeping your style free and personal.
Week 7 – From Sketch to Card
Take one of your favorite sketches and transform it into a holiday or specialty card — something you and others will love.
Week 8 – Card-Making Exploration
A fun and creative celebration! Explore simple ways to turn your sketches into heartfelt cards and gifts.
